L’offre de crédits bancaires dans l’Union économique et monétaire ouest-africaine (UEMOA) a enregistré une hausse de 17,5% en 2018, atteignant 14.849,1 milliards, contre 12.633,2 milliards en 2017, indique un nouveau rapport de la BCEAO. La hausse enregistrée dans le pays, est de 11,8%. L’augmentation relevée en Guinée-Bissau (+43,9%), au Sénégal (+33,9%), en Côte d’Ivoire (+18,9), au Mali (+9,8%), au Togo (+5,9%) et au Burkina (+4,8%). En revanche, les nouvelles mises en place de crédits se sont contractées de 1,9% au Bénin.’’
Le rapport signale que « selon la nature des bénéficiaires, le volume des crédits octroyés dans l’Union a augmenté en 2018 pour les Etats et les organismes assimilés (+40,6%), les entreprises individuelles (+19,1%) et les particuliers (+8,1%) ».
De façon plus générale, la publication évoque un repli de 3, 5 % du montant des mises en place pour la clientèle financière des banques. « La structure des crédits selon la catégorie de la clientèle, indique la prédominance des crédits aux entreprises privées (53,8%), en lien avec l’importance des crédits de trésorerie. Les crédits aux particuliers représentent 14,0% des montants accordés en 2018. »
Pour la durée des
concours bancaires, ce sont les crédits à court terme qui ont été ‘’les plus
importants’’ en 2018. En effet, la part des crédits dont l’échéance est égale
ou inférieure à deux ans est ressortie à 75,3% contre 74,6% enregistrée l’année
précédente.
Toutefois, il est noté un maintien de la
dynamique haussière des crédits de longue durée (supérieure à 5 ans) dont la
part est ressortie à 12,3% des concours en 2018, contre 14,0% en 2017 et seulement
7,1% il y a trois ans.
