Une centaine de terroriste ont été neutralisés, une vingtaine de suspects appréhendés et une importante logistique récupérée auprès de groupes armées, dans le cadre du bilan à mi-parcours de l’opération conjointe (TAANLI 2) menée entre le 25 novembre et le 9 décembre 2021 par les armées burkinabè et nigérienne.
Entre le 25 novembre et le 9 décembre 2021, les armées nationales du Burkina Faso et du Niger ont mené des opérations dans le cadre de l’opération TAANLI 2, selon un communiqué de l’armée burkinabè transmis jeudi à l’AIB.
La zone d’opération qui prend en compte plusieurs localités situées de part et d’autres de la frontière entre le Burkina et le Niger, s’étend sur une superficie de 24 624 kilomètres carrés.
Un bilan provisoire fait état de 13 militaires burkinabè tombés et de sept blessés (Burkinabè et Nigériens) enregistrés lors d’une mission de reconnaissance dans la Komondjaori au Burkina Faso.
Mais les deux armées ont détruit deux bases terroristes, neutralisé une centaine de terroristes et appréhendé une vingtaine de suspects.
Des fusils d’assaut AK47, des fusils mitrailleurs, des caisses de munitions et de chargeurs, des dizaines de futs de carburant et une quinzaine d’engins explosifs ont été récupérés.
On note également plusieurs centaines de motos, d’autres moyens roulants et un important lot de produits pharmaceutiques saisis.
Ce 9 décembre 2021, à Tillabéri au Niger, le ministre de la Défense Nationale du Burkina Faso, le Général de Brigade Aimé Barthélémy SIMPORE et son homologue nigérien Alkassoum INDATTOU, ont relevé l’importance de mutualiser les forces pour faire face à la menace terroriste.
Ils ont annoncé l’opération TAANLI 3 pour consolider les résultats obtenus.
En rappel, la première opération s’est déroulée en juin 2021.
