Catherine Colonna a évoqué « des possibilités de sortie si les responsables de cette tentative entendent le message de la communauté internationale ».
Emmanuel Macron a parlé à plusieurs reprises à son homologue Mohamed Bazoum dont « nous demandons la libération », a-t-elle rapporté face à la presse. Le président nigérien « dit qu’il est en bonne santé et nous souhaitons non seulement qu’il soit libéré mais libéré en totale sécurité lui et sa famille comme préalable au retour à l’ordre constitutionnel », a exhorté la ministre.
