Le Procureur de la République, Chaibou Samna, a fait le point jeudi, sur les suites données aux violentes manifestations des élèves le 09 avril dernier. Le haut magistrat a notamment fait cas du payement d’un montant de 7 325 000 FCFA par les parents des élèves interpellés et reconnus coupables de destructions des biens publics et privés.
Les autorités de la ville de Niamey l’avaient annoncé. Les importants dégâts causés par les élèves lors de leurs manifestations le 09 avril dernier, ne resteront pas impunis. En effet, un appel a été lancé par voie de communiqué, donnant droit aux victimes de la manifestation scolaire, à se déclarer au niveau de la Police Judiciaire (PJ) et se faire évaluer les préjudices subis. On parle notamment du pillage d’une station d’essence, où des produits ont été emportés à hauteur de 215 000 FCFA ou encore du saccage des voitures du président du Tribunal et d’une employée de l’UNICEF dont les réparations ont été chiffrées à 300 000 FCFA. La ville de Niamey a également fait le bilan des vandalismes (brulure des pneus, la destruction de divers objets d’embellissement des rues) perpétrés dans la capitale qui s’élevait à 6 700 000 FCFA. Un total de 7 725000 FCFA avait alors été établi.
On s’en souvient, lors de ces échauffourées, une centaine d’élèves avaient été interpellés. Ce aux parents et tuteurs de ces élèves, en vertu de la responsabilité qui leur incombe qu’il a été demandé de réparer les dommages. La justice a, à cet effet, fait une évaluation des préjudices par commune. « En fonction des interpellations qui ont été faites, le montant a été reparti de façon équitable, par commune », a précisé le Procureur de la République. A ce jeu, 7 325 000 FCFA, ont été récupérés auprès des parents et tuteurs. Les élèves interpellés ont été tous libérés apprend-on.
M. Chaibou Samna a appelé les élèves à faire preuve de retenue lors de leurs manifestations. Les actes violents et la destruction de biens publics et privés sont punis par la loi et les autorités nigériennes ne transigeront pas avec cela, a-t-il martelé.
