L’Office Central de Répression du Trafic Illicite des Stupéfiants (OCRTIS) a procédé ce lundi 1er octobre à la présentation d’un réseau international de trafic de drogue ayant des tentacules dans plusieurs pays de la sous-région. Les quidams arrêtés opéraient notamment à partir du Nigeria d’où il acheminait leur funeste cargaison par le biais de camions de transport de ciment à destination de Zinder.
Un réseau de trafic de drogue à haut risque démantelé le 27 octobre 2021 à Guidimouni (région de Zinder) par l’Office Central de Répression du Trafic Illicite des Stupéfiants (OCRTIS) a été présenté ce jour. Les fins limiers de l’Orctis, ont pu mettre la main sur trois individus appartenant au groupement de malfaiteurs. Après interrogatoire, ces derniers ont dévoilé leur modus operandi bien huilé. En effet, embarquée à partir de Lagos au Nigeria, la drogue est introduite par les employés d’une importante société étrangère de transport de ciment jusqu’à Kano où d’autres camions de transports l’achemine par la suite à Malawa (Zinder). A partir de Malawa, la drogue est récupérée par des motocyclistes qui l’acheminent ensuite dans diverses contrées de la région.
Outre l’importante quantité de drogue interceptée, 102,615 kg de cannabis, 1.740.000 nairas, un (01) véhicule et plusieurs téléphones portables ont été saisis. Le réseau qui vient d’être démantelé, aurait des ramifications et des circuits de distribution jusqu’au Ghana, auTogo, au Bénin et au Nigeria.
L’Office Central de Répression du Trafic Illicite des Stupéfiants (OCRTIS) appelle les populations nigériennes à la vigilance ainsi qu’à une meilleure coopération avec ses unités pour faire freiner le trafic de drogue qui prend des proportions inquiétantes ces dernières années.
