Le Président de la République, Chef de l’Etat, SEM Issoufou Mahamadou, a procédé jeudi matin, 27 février 2020, à la pose de la première pierre de construction du marché central moderne de Tahoua.
Cette importante infrastructure, 1379 boutiques au total, verra le jour dans un délai de 12 mois sur le site de l’ancien marché, situé au centre-ville. Les travaux y compris l’assainissement du centre-ville, d’un montant de près de 20 milliards de FCFA sur un financement du budget national, seront exécutés par l’entreprise SATOM SOGEA, sur une superficie de 3,25 ha.
La cérémonie s’est déroulée en présence notamment du Haut Représentant du Président de la République, SEM Seyni Oumarou, des Présidents des Institutions de la République, des membres du Gouvernement, des représentants du Corps Diplomatique et des Organisations Internationales, des autorités administratives, coutumières et religieuses de la Région de Tahoua.
La population de Tahoua, fortement mobilisée, était présente à cette importante cérémonie.
