L’hôtel de luxe présidentiel inauguré le mardi 11 juin à Niamey s’inscrit dans le cadre d’un programme de renforcement des offres d’hébergement de la capitale nigérienne qui se prépare à accueillir le sommet de l’Union Africaine en juillet prochain.
Pas moins d’une soixantaine de villas et chambres vont être livrées entre le 15 juin et le 28 juin pour résorber le déficit des capacités actuel de Niamey.
Il s’agit entre autres de la Cité de l’Union africaine et ses 15 villas présidentielles disponibles à partir du 15 juin, de l’hôtel Noon dont l’ouverture est prévue le 20 juin, de la Cité Futura constituée de 20 villas de grand standing qui sera prête à partir du 22 juin.
La Résidence Fayel et son parc de 33 chambres et les villas ministérielles Dan Gara seront disponibles le 23 juin.
Quant à L’hôtel Bravia et la Cité NIM, ils projettent de lancer leurs activités le 28 juin, selon les responsables de l’agence UA, Niger 2019.
Un des projets phares dans le cadre de ce programme de mise aux normes des hôtels est la mise en concession de l’hôtel Gaweye de Niamey , un des rares établissements hôteliers sous la coupe publique.
La convention sur 30 ans prévoit des investissements de 17 milliards FCFA dans le cadre d’un partenariat public privé avec le groupe indien Bravia Hotels.
La capitale nigérienne offre actuellement 3000 lits.
