Le Président du Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie, Chef de l’Etat SE Le Général de Brigade Abdourahamane Tiani a accordé une audience le lundi 8 avril 2024 à une délégation de la CNPC conduite par l’ambassadeur de la République Populaire de Chine au Niger, SE. Jiang Feng. Au cours de cette audience, plusieurs questions relativement au rapport entre la Chine et le Niger à travers la CNPC ont été abordées. Parmi ces points il y a la coopération entre les deux pays et leurs souverainetés politiques et économiques, la contribution de la CNPC au traitement de l’industrie pétrolière du Niger, etc.
A l’issue de cette audience, le diplomate chinois a déclaré que le Chef de l’Etat nigérien attache une importance absolue à la souveraineté politique et économique. En effet, le Chef de l’Etat, rapporte-t-il, exige de la CNPC, plus de contributions au traitement de l’industrie pétrolière du Niger. « La CNPC est déterminée à accompagner le Niger dans le renforcement des capacités dans l’industrie pétrolière du Niger », a souligné l’ambassadeur de la République Populaire de Chine au Niger, SE. Jiang Feng avant de réaffirmer la volonté de la Chine à renforcer cette relation d’amitié et de bonne coopération entre les deux pays.
Notons que la CNPC (China National petroleum Corporation) est une société de l’Etat chinois implantée au Niger depuis plusieurs années. En tant que premier partenaire du Niger dans le domaine du pétrole, au-delà de ses activités de raffinerie et de l’exécution des travaux de construction du Pipeline d’exportation Niger-Benin de près 2.000 km de long, la CNPC a mené plusieurs actions sociétales notamment dans le domaine de l’éducation, la santé à travers la construction des infrastructures, etc.
Cette audience s’est déroulée en présence du ministre directeur de cabinet du Président du Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie, Dr Soumana Boubacar et du Conseiller du Président du CNSP en pétrole, M. Mahamane Laouan Gaya.
