Dans la continuité de la célébration de la Journée nationale de la femme nigérienne, le 13 mai dernier, l’ONG Femmes Actions et Développement (FAD), a organisé ce jeudi 16 mai, la 3ème édition de son « Face-à-Face ». Placée sous le thème ‘’Le Renouveau de la Solidarité féminine’’, cette initiative se veut une plateforme d’échange intergénérationnel où des femmes nigériennes réfléchissent à leurs conditions, et font des propositions afin de contribuer au développement socio-économique du Niger.
Cette 3ème édition du Face-à-face de l’ONG Femme Action et Développement (FAD) se tient dans un contexte particulier. Celui de l’arrivée au pouvoir du Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie (CNSP). Aussi, le ton de cette journée d’échanges a été donné par une communication introductive sur la situation des femmes nigériennes depuis le 26 juillet 2023. Il en ressort un état des lieux quelque peu inquiétant avec la suppression du Ministère de la Promotion de la femme ainsi qu’une faible représentativité dans les instances décisionnelles notamment le gouvernement, les gouvernorats ou encore les municipalité.
Le Face-à-face 2024 ambitionne donc d’identifier les goulots d’étranglement qui empêchent les femmes nigériennes de s’imposer dans les hautes sphères décisionnelles. Pour Mme Nana Foumakoye Gado, marraine de l’ONG FAD, une solidarité plus accrue entre les femmes serait déjà un point de départ : « les femmes doivent transcender les querelles de leadership et se battre ensemble pour arracher leurs droits », a-t-elle déclarée. Elle se félicite en outre de la ratification de la loi sur le quota qui exige qu’il y ait 30% de femmes dans les postes nominatifs et 25% aux postes électifs, qui pour elle, est un acquis à préserver. Même son de cloche chez la Présidente du comité d’organisation de cette 3ème édition, Mme Oumoulheir Mindaoudou qui a appelé à plus de solidarité entre les femmes nigériennes seule gage d’un contribution efficiente au développement du pays.
Pour ce faire, deux panels à savoir : ‘’Analyse genre de la situation politique actuelle au Niger (analyse, acquis et perte) et ‘’Défis et priorités, perspectives des femmes nigériennes en cette période’’, ont meublé les échanges.
Notons que l’invitée d’honneur de cette journée est Mme Reki Djermakoye et que cette journée a été l’occasion pour l’ONG FAD d’honorer des femmes qui ont contribué à offrir plus d’espace de liberté à leurs compatriotes et impacter leur pays dans divers domaines. Une comité de suivi des recommandations notamment un groupe de travail sur le ‘’renouveau de la solidarité féminine a été mis en place à l’issue des travaux.
