A l’issue de l’élection présidentielle couplée aux législatives, quelques missions d’observation qui ont été déployées sur l’ensemble du territoire nigérien, ont donné le mardi 29 décembre 2020 des conclusions sur son déroulement. Ces conclusions montrent de manière générale la bonne conduite de ce double scrutin.
Pour sa part le Centre Coordonné d’Observation de la Sécurité Electorale des Femmes (COSEF), qui vise à renforcer la participation des femmes aux processus électoraux et à la réduction de la violence électorale, a permis l’identification de 200 observatrices, formées, accréditées et déployées selon une cartographie des zones à risque déterminées à partir de l’analyse des tendances du système d’alerte précoce de WANEP et validée avec la contribution d’organisations de la société civile. A l’issue de la mission d’observation qu’il a menée, le COSEF conclu que « les élections se sont déroulées dans le calme ». Les observateurs ont également souligné « la présence de femmes dans leurs rangs. Les femmes ont pu voter sans problèmes. Les personnes handicapés ou ayant des difficultés ont été aidés pour accomplir leur vote. Seulement 67 femmes ont été présidents de bureau de vote et absence de femme dans 46 bureaux de vote ».
En effet, les différentes délégations de la CEDEAO ont constaté la « forte affluence des femmes et des jeunes, et constaté la présence effective des Forces de sécurité au niveau des bureaux de vote ». Tout en ajoutant néanmoins « seule fausse note le non-respect des mesures barrières remarqué dans la plupart des centres de vote ».
Dans un communiqué rendu public ce lundi 28 décembre par la mission d’observation de la CEDEAO, les « Chefs des missions d’observation électorale déployés au Niger ont unanimement salué le caractère paisible et participatif du double scrutin du dimanche 27 decembre 2020».
Pour rappel, en total 6873 observateurs ont été accrédités par la Commission électorale et déployés sur l’ensemble du territoire nigérien.
