Le Président de la République, M. Mohamed BAZOUM a reçu, dans l’après-midi de ce mercredi 19 Avril 2023, les membres de la cour des comptes du Niger, qui sont venus lui remettre le rapport général public de l’institution.
Après la remise du rapport, qui s’etablit chaque année, le Président de la cour des comptes, le Professeur Narey Oumarou a indiqué à la presse que l’objet de cette audience est « la remise officielle du rapport général public qui a été établi par la cour des comptes ».
« La loi organique sur la cour des comptes exige à ce que la cour établit chaque année un rapport général public qui doit être remis au Président de la République, au Président de l’Assemblée Nationale et au Premier Ministre avant d’être rendu public », a expliqué le prof. Narey, avant de préciser que c’est cette « exigence que nous venons remplir cet après-midi ».
La Cour des comptes du Niger, indique-t-on, exerce une mission de jugement des comptes des comptables publics et une mission de contrôle de la gestion publique.
