Dans une note en date du 24 novembre 2023, le chef d’État-Major, le général Moussa Salaou Barmou, membre du CNSP a annoncé la radiation de ces officiers des rangs de l’armée nigérienne.

Ces officiers proches du président Mohamed Bazoum ainsi que de son prédécesseur Mahamadou Issoufou sont en exil depuis le coup d’État du 26 juillet 2023 et continuent de critiquer les actions du CNSP de l’extérieur. Quant au général Mahamadou Abou Tarka, il était bien connu pour ses propos très acerbes contre les régimes militaires du Mali et du Burkina. Il a notamment répété à plusieurs reprises que la prise du pouvoir par les militaires était un aveu d’échec.
Le général Mahamadou Abou Tarka était également le président de la Haute Autorité à la Consolidation de la Paix (HACP). Son bureau et sa maison ont été visités à plusieurs reprises ces derniers jours par des hommes armés du CNSP.
