Un hélicoptère de la Mission multidimensionnelle intégrée des Nations unies pour la stabilisation au Mali (Minusma), s’est renversé après atterrissage, du fait de vents violents, jeudi à Gao dans le nord du Mali, a déclaré la mission onusienne.
« Un hélicoptère de la MINUSMA a été renversé aujourd’hui par des vents violents après son atterrissage à Gao, au nord du Mali », a indiqué la même source dans un communiqué.
La Minusma a ajouté que « ce n’était pas un accident », précisant que « l’équipage et les passagers sont tous comptabilisés avec 2 blessés graves ».
Des sources locales, l’appareil en provenance de Kidal transportait 10 passagers et 4 équipages.
Selon la Minusma les passagers ont quitté l’avion en toute sécurité et reçoivent des soins médicaux avant d’affirmer qu’aucun feu n’a été signalé.
Pour rappel, la Minusma compte près de 15 mille hommes, déployés au Mali depuis 2013 pour, notamment, protéger les civils des attaques terroristes.
