L’insécurité a un sérieux impact sur le système éducatif nigérien. Au moins 350 écoles ont été fermées cette année dans la région de Tillabéry par les autorités en charge de l’éducation pour des raisons sécuritaires. Le Ministre Daouda Mahamadou Marthe a effectué une visite ce mercredi 19 février dans la dite région pour discuter des propositions de sortie de crise avec les autorités locales.
A l’issue de cette rencontre avec les chefs coutumiers, les leaders religieux, les directeurs des écoles et enseignants, les parents ainsi que les forces de sécurité, le Ministre en charge de l’éducation, Daouda Mahamadou Marthe a fait d’importantes propositions qui pourront aider ces enfants à avoir au moins l’accès à leur droit le plus fondamental à savoir l’éducation. Parmi ces mesures, le ministre a évoqué le regroupement des écoles dans les centres sécurisés pour que ces enfants soient protégés contre ces attaques terroristes, l’éventualité de la réouverture de certaines écoles ou l’insécurité n’est pas trop marquée. M. Marthe a également pris comme mesure l’intensification des patrouilles pour empêcher la circulation des motos, la création du comité de gestion de crise et la mise en place d’un fonds d’intervention rapide. Durant ces assises, le ministre a rassuré les populations de la détermination du gouvernement pour mettre fin à ces attaques terroristes afin de garantir leur sécurité.
Notons que ces attaques et menaces terroristes se sont multipliées dans cette région frontalière avec le Mali, et Burkina Faso malgré les dispositions prises par le gouvernement. Rien que le 06 février dernier cinq personnes dont un enseignant ont été tuées par des individus armés roulant à motos.
Faut-il rappeler qu’en dehors de l’insécurité du pays, le sempiternel bras de fer entre le gouvernement et les syndicats d’enseignants, constitue aussi un obstacle à l’épanouissement du secteur éducation nigérien. Après un mois de grève la grève illimitée lancé par le Syndicat National des Enseignants-Chercheurs et Chercheurs du Supérieur (SNECS) allant du 20 janvier au 19 février 2020, ce dernier a considéré comme fait les semestres impairs notamment les semestres un, trois et cinq dans toutes les universités publiques du Niger. Cette déclaration a été faite dans son communiqué rendu publique ce mercredi 19 février. Par conséquent aucun rattrapage de cours, des examens ou soutenance ne sera organisé a indiqué ledit communiqué.
