C’est la démission d’un très proche d’Emmanuel Macron. Ismaël Emelien, conseiller spécial du président français va quitter ses fonctions au printemps. Il explique à l’hebdomadaire Le Point qu’il va faire paraître un livre sur le progressisme dans quelques semaines et que cela n’est pas compatible avec ses fonctions actuelles. C’est le deuxième membre de la garde rapprochée présidentielle à annoncer sa démission depuis le début de l’année après le communicant et plume du président Sylvain Fort.
Ismaël Emelien a justifié sa démission par la prochaine parution d’un livre qu’il cosigne sur le progressisme, le chef de l’Etat ayant interdit à ses conseillers de publier pendant qu’ils sont en poste à l’Elysée.
« Par éthique personnelle, je me suis astreint en tant que conseiller spécial du président à un silence absolu qui n’est pas compatible avec la parution d’un tel ouvrage » a-t-il déclaré au Point.
Ce trentenaire très secret, l’un des plus proches collaborateurs d’Emmanuel Macron, son stratège en chef et sa boîte à idées, est le second membre de la garde rapprochée du président à quitter l’Elysée depuis le début de l’année.
Avant lui Sylvain Fort, directeur de la communication et plume du président, autre pilier des débuts de la « Macronie », a annoncé début janvier son départ « pour raisons personnelles ».
Ismaël Emelien a été mis en cause dans l’affaire Benalla depuis que l’ex-chargé de mission du président a affirmé à la police lui avoir transmis des vidéos obtenues illégalement auprès de la police, qui étaient censées le disculper dans le déroulé des violences du 1er mai. Ces images s’étaient retrouvées peu après sur des comptes Twitter pro-Macron.
Ismaël Emelien est également cité par Alexandre Benalla qui affirme avoir son soutien dans des enregistrements publiés récemment par Médiapart.
