Comme, elle en a désormais pris l’habitude, la Banque Islamique du Niger (BIN) est à nouveau allée à la rencontre de ses clients et des populations nigériennes. Ce samedi 26 octobre, à son invitation, Cheick Hamouda Ali Ben Salah a animé une conférence publique avec pour thème : « La finance islamique, une alternative à la pratique de la Riba ».
Une dans une salle comble de la Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie du Niger (CCIN) que s’est tenue la deuxième conférence publique organisée par la BIN après celle d’août dernier. Cette affluence s’explique par la pertinence du thème du jour, la dette vue sous le prisme de l’islam. Il s’agit en effet pour l’institution bancaire d’informer et d’éclairer des zones sur son fonctionnement et ses différents services comme l’explique son Directeur Général par intérim, Alioune Traoré, « « nous nous sommes engagés à travers cette série de conférences à informer la population et la clientèle sur ce qui est la finance islamique. Le plus important est de partager le plus largement l’information parce qu’il y a beaucoup de choses qu’on suppose mais qui ne sont pas dans la réalité », a-t-il indiqué. La riba poursuit-il « est l’un des aspects le plus souvent rappelé quand vous parlez de banque avec l’ensemble de la clientèle, mais aussi le grand public, tous vont pour pouvoir savoir exactement de quoi vous parlez ».
C’est dans cette optique que Cheick Hamouda Ali Ben Salah, s’est attelé à, à grand renforts de références issues du Saint Coran, à expliquer la Riba, ses contours et les moyens d’y remédier par le biais de la finance islamique. De nombreuses interrogations ont jailli du public et adressé au conférencier qui y a apporté des éclaircissements.
Cette conférence publique ne sera pas la dernière du genre, informe déjà les responsables de la BIN. D’autres thèmes seront abordés au cours de futures rencontres. Tout une campagne de sensibilisation a été mise en branle à travers notamment des spots publicitaires afin de donner plus de visibilité à la BIN et à ses principaux produits.
