Suite à la polémique qui ces derniers jours fait grand bruit dans les médias et sur les réseaux sociaux sur la question de la prise en charge des malades de cancer au Niger et du limogeage de Dr Dillié, le Secrétaire Général du Ministère de la Santé Publique, Dr Ranaou Abaché a animé un point de presse ce mercredi 23 octobre 2019 dans l’optique d’apporter plus d’éclaircissements sur ces sujets.
Par ce point de presse, le Ministère de la Santé Publique entendait apporter des éclaircissements l’opinion publique sur les soubresauts autour de la décision prise par l’hôpital National de la capitale concernant le Dr Dillié à cause des manquements qui seraient reprochés à cette dernier, « ce qu’il faut retenir cet agent n’est lié administrativement à aucune structure du Ministère de la santé publique, encore moins à l’hôpital de Niamey. L’agent a pris une disponibilité depuis novembre 2018 pour convenance personnelle, ce qui est son droit le plus absolu, mais elle a oublié de dire qu’elle a préfère aller travailler dans une ONG que de rester travailler à l’hôpital » a expliqué le Secrétaire Général du Ministère de la Santé Publique.
Poursuivant ces mots, Dr Ranaou Abaché a expliqué à l’opinion publique qu’un mois plus tard après le départ du dit agent en disponibilité, ce dernier a introduit une demande d’autorisation d’opérer ses malades qu’elle aura dépisté dans son ONG, ce qui fut accepter par l’hôpital en lui signant un contrat de prestations payantes « quoi de plus normal pour l’hôpital de résilier un contrat devant le non-respect des textes, de l’éthique et de la déontologie médicale au lieu de renoncer à sa disponibilité et réintégrer la fonction publique pour le bien-être de ses patients « nous assistons à des manœuvres tendant à faire croire à l’opinion publique qu’elle est la seule oncologue et qu’elle est victime d’une injustice en parlant de sa révocation, de son limogeage par ledit hôpital et certain individus chercher a récupéré la situation pour leur propagande politique » a-t-il ajouté.
Par la même occasion les autorités sanitaires ont tenu à faire le point de la prise en charge des personnes cancéreuses au Niger. Dans la perspective de mieux organiser ce secteur, le Ministère de la Santé publique a procédé à un groupement des pôles et de prise en charge de cette maladie. Selon le Secrétaire Général, la chirurgie thérapie du cancer est assurée dans les 4 hôpitaux nationaux et la maternité Issaka Gazobi, « cette chirurgie n’est qu’une composante couplée à la Radiothérapie et à la chimiothérapie , le fait que la Radiothérapie ne soit pas encore disponible au Niger ,oblige le gouvernement à évacuer les cas de cancers vers l’extérieur du pays, c’est pour dire qu’en dehors de la Radiothérapie ,la prise en charge de cette maladie est totalement assurée par les spécialistes nigériens »
Au terme de son intervention, M. Abaché a souligné que son département est dans les dernières démarches de la mise en place des machines deRadiothérapie sans compter l’envoi de 6 médecins en formation en anatomie pathologie, de 8 médecins en oncologie médicale et des 4 médecins en radio oncologie, un changement positif grâce à l’engagement du président de la République Issoufou Mahamadou qui a fait de la santé de la population l’une de ses premières priorités a-t-il conclu.
