Le Niger le Nigéria et l’Algérie ont signé ce mardi 11 Février dans la capitale algérienne un accord tripartite portant sur l’accélération de la mise en œuvre du projet du gazoduc transsaharien qui réunit les trois pays. Cette signature représente une mise à jour importante dans le processus de mise en oeuvre dudit projet et s’est tenue d’ailleurs à l’occasion de la 4e réunion ministérielle du comité de pilotage du gazoduc transsaharien TSGP.
Au total, l’accord final comprend trois signatures distinctes portant notamment sur un contrat de mise à jour de l’étude de faisabilité du projet, un contrat de compensation et un accord de non divulgation entre les sociétés énergétiques des trois pays concernés.
En compagnie de ses pairs du Nigéria et de l’Algérie, le Ministre d’Etat, ministre de l’Energie, des Mines et des Energies renouvelables a été le signataire du contrat de mise à jour de l’étude de faisabilité du projet. Le contrat de compensation, de même que l’accord de non divulgation ont pour leur part été signés par le PDG de la Sonatrach, Rachidi Hachimi.
Initié depuis les années 80, le projet de Gazoduc transsaharien permettra d’acheminer du gaz naturel du Nigéria en Algérie en passant par le Niger. Le gaz devrait ensuite être acheminé vers des destinations européens et internationales.
