34 millions de dollars, c’est la somme globale que recevra le Niger du gouvernement des Pays-Bas pour le financement du projet d’extension du réseau d’eau potable de Niamey.
Cet accord de financement récemment signé entre le ministre des finances Mamadou Diop, et l’ambassadeur des Pays-Bas au Niger, Jolke Oppewa, comprend la construction de la nouvelle installation Goudel IV, conçue pour alimenter la ville en eau. La station d’épuration des eaux de Goudel IV est en cours de construction par la société espagnole Denys Sas. Le projet d’extension du réseau d’eau potable de la ville de Niamey bénéficiera à 450 000 personnes dans la ville de plus de 1,5 million d’habitants selon l’ambassadeur des Pays-Bas au Niger, Jolke Oppewal.
L’installation aura une capacité de 40 000 m³ par jour. Avant d’atteindre les habitations, l’eau produite à l’usine de Goudel IV sera d’abord stockée dans trois nouveaux réservoirs d’eau d’une capacité de 2 000 mètres cubes chacun.
Electrosteel France a été choisie pour fournir les canalisations qui permettront le transport de l’eau et l’extension du réseau d’eau potable de Niamey. Cela implique la pose de 27 km de conduites sous pression et 250 km de conduites de distribution.
