Sensé se tenir le dimanche 09 février 2020, les scolaires nigériens à travers la section mère l’Union des Scolaires du Niger (USN), ont décidé de commémorer en ce jour 10 février 2020 le 30ème anniversaire du mouvement historique du 09 février 1990. Comme chaque année depuis 30 ans, les scolaires nigériens commémorent les évènements tragiques du vendredi 09 Février 1990. Une date historique pour le monde estudiantin et pour le peuple nigérien en général.
Pour cerner véritablement les enjeux de cette journée du 09 février 1990, il faudrait regarder dans le rétroviseur pour s’enquérir du contexte national qui prévalait au moment des faits.
Avant le déclenchement des évènements du 9 Février, le climat était tendu entre le gouvernement de Ali Seybou nouvellement reconduit apres la mort de Seyni Koutché. Plusieurs faits sociaux ont perturbé l’ordre politique interne et institutionnel avec des contestations par la synergie d’actions entre les organisations syndicales des travailleurs et des groupements professionnels à savoir le SNEN, l’USTN, l’USN et SAMAN qui étaient à l’avant-garde de toutes les luttes. Ces structures ont haussé le ton pour des revendications politiques et sociales.
En effet, les scolaires nigériens d’antan auraient décidé de s’affirmer et protester contre le silence des autorités de l’époque face à leurs revendications, cela à travers un mot d’ordre de manifestation pacifique après l’épuisement d’un ultimatum.
Ce 09 février 1990, une partie des scolaires des collèges et lycées de Niamey qui ont fait force commune avec l’UENUN qui était la structure mère ont décidé de prendre d’assaut le Pont Kennedy et rejoindre les autres centres de relais au Korombé en vue d’une manifestation monstres de tous les scolaires de la ville de Niamey. Les rues étaient prises d’assaut par des milliers des scolaires. C’est alors que des balles réelles ont été utilisés par les forces de l’ordre pour disperser la foule. Ainsi succombaient, Alio Nahantchi, Maman Saguir de l’université de Niamey et Issaka Kainé élevé au CEG 9 de Niamey. Depuis lors, cette date est devenue historique, celle où l’USN se mobilise pour demander justice depuis 30 ans.
Entre autres revendications des scolaires de l’époque, il est à noter le rejet systématique du programme d’ajustement structurel (PAS) et du projet d’éducation 3 imposés par le régime.
Aujourd’hui comme les années antérieures, à l’occasion de ce 30ème anniversaire du 09 février, nombreux sont les élèves et étudiants des quatre coins de la capitale qui sont sortis battre le pavé pour la mémoire de leurs camarades victimes des balles assassines disent-ils.
« Cela fait exactement 30 ans que les scolaires nigériens se battent et manifestent leur mécontentement face à la tuerie injuste de nos camarades, la grande consternation c’est le constat de la place stratégique et des positions de responsabilités étatiques qu’occupent certains anciens cadres ayant revendiqués et luttés dans la même organisation ne font rien ne serait-ce qu’un pas pour la justice à nos martyrs de 1990, en outre je tiens à rappeler que cette 30eme édition de la commémoration des évènements tragiques du 09 février 1990 est exceptionnelle pour les scolaires en ce qu’elle coïncide avec un contexte national très mouvementé eu égard à l’insécurité grandissante qui frappe nuit et jour nos paisibles concitoyens » dixit Idder Algabit secrétaire General de l’USN.
Cette journée était également celle des discours et des cris de détermination pour réclamer justice en dépit des nombreuses années après cet évènement.
« L’espoir n’est jamais perdu et cela même après 30 ans nous allons continuer la mobilisation jusqu’à ce que justice soit faite, pas uniquement pour nos martyrs de 09 février mais pour ceux qui ont suivi également » ainsi s’exprimait Omar Albadé, SG de l’UENUN.
A cet effet, plusieurs activités sont inscrites dans l’agenda commémoratif desdits évènements durant toute la semaine en attendant la marche de recueillement en direction du cimetière prévue pour le 16 février.
