Ces huit dernières années, la masse salariale au Niger a connu une hausse significative, passant du simple à plus du double.
Selon les déclarations du président de la République, Issoufou Mahamadou, lors d’une interview télévisée, l’enveloppe annuelle affectée à la rétribution de l’ensemble du personnel salarié est passée de 103 milliards FCFA en 2010 à plus de 273 milliards en 2018.
Toujours d’après le chef de l’Etat, cette augmentation est le fruit des multiples réformes. Notamment des réformes structurelles mises en place ces dernières années. Celles-ci ont entre autres permis de renforcer la stabilité macroéconomique, favoriser la croissance, augmenter les revenus, créer des emplois, tout en consolidant les bases d’un développement durable.
Tout cela a donc contribué à accroître le revenu par habitant et par ricochet la richesse, tout en faisant reculer la pauvreté. Des signes qui, d’après les autorités nigériennes, démontrent s’il en était encore besoin que l’économie nigérienne est sur la bonne voie.
