A travers un décret pris vendredi dernier dont Niameyinfo a reçu copie, le Ministère nigérien de la Santé Publique informe de l’interdiction de la commercialisation et de la prescription de deux spécialités pharmaceutiques anti-toux .
Depuis le vendredi 15 févier 2019, date de la signature par le Ministre de la Santé publique d’un décret d’abrogation d’Autorisations de Mise sur le Marché formulée par les Lobor, les produits pharmaceutiques Pneumorel 80 Mg comprimé boite de 30, numéro de visa 94-0650-01 et Pneumorel Sirop 0,2% flacon, 150 MM, numéro de visa 94-0627-01, sont interdits sur toute l’étendue du territoire nigérien. Une décision prise suite à de nouvelles études à l’international qui ont confirmé un risque d’induction de troubles du rythme cardiaque avec un allongement de l’intervalle QT.
Les autorités sanitaires nigériennes invitent par conséquent les responsables des structures sanitaires publiques et privées, les directeurs généraux des centres pharmaceutiques publiques et privés, les responsables des pharmacies et officines publiques et privées, à ne plus prescrire ces deux produits aux patients ; à procéder au retrait des lots disponibles dans les pharmacies et centrales pharmaceutiques ; à remettre aux centrales pharmaceutiques tous les stocks disponibles dans les officines.
Le grand public, notamment les personnes en possession de ces médicaments sont priées de les ramener au niveau des officines où ils les ont achetés. Plus urgent encore, les patients victimes d’effets secondaires ou autres signes inhabituelles après avoir pris l’un de ces deux produits, sont appelés à se présenter dans le centre de santé le plus proche.
Le ministère de la Santé Publique indique avoir pris toutes les dispositions quant au respect de cette décision et exhorte tous les acteurs concernés au respect strict de cette mesure d’abrogation.
