Désormais tous les cours portant sur la reproduction chez l’homme ou chez les animaux, l’économie familiale ou encore l’éducation sexuelle inscrits au programme et enseignés dans les écoles nigériennes doivent être suspendus et retirés du programme.
C’est ce qui ressort d’une circulaire du Ministère de l’Education en date du 27 Novembre 2024. Cette décision, rapporte le document, est issue d’une analyse préliminaire des programmes d’enseignement du primaire et du secondaire qui révèle « que certains contenus de ces programmes portent atteintes à nos valeurs socioculturelles».
Les programmes abordant les thématiques mentionnées concernent notamment les classes du CM1 et du CM2 de l’enseignement primaire et les classes de 6e et 4e de l’enseignement secondaire. La circulaire informe toutefois qu’un comité interministériel en charge d’effectuer une «relecture ds programmes» a été mis en place avec pour objectifs d’ «analyser de manière approfondie les résultats des multiples réformes et innovations pédagogiques en vue de faire des propositions pertinentes mieux adaptées à nos réalités nationales».
