Le président camerounais, Paul Biya, a procédé ce mercredi soir à des nominations au sein du ministère de la Défense selon un décret relayé par les médias d’État.
Ces nominations concernent, entre autres, les services centraux du ministère de la Défense, les écoles de formation, des bureaux de logistique, de transmission et d’informatique de l’armée de terre, de l’air et de la marine nationale.
Selon le décret signé par le président Biya, les personnels officiers de l’armée camerounaise sont, pour compter de la signature du texte, nommés aux postes dans les services de l’administration centrale du ministère de la Défense, notamment dans les structures placées sous l’autorité directe du ministre délégué à la présidence chargé de la Défense.
Les autres nominations concernent les conseillers techniques, l’administration centrale du Secrétariat d’État à la Défense et l’Inspection générale de la gendarmerie nationale dont la direction est confiée à une femme.
S’agissant de l’armée de l’air, les services directement rattachés au chef d’état-major de l’armée de l’air, notamment l’inspection technique de l’armée de l’air, les services des ressources humaines, le bureau de la formation et des écoles ainsi que le bureau des infrastructures, de l’emploi et la coordination, celui des plans et transmissions-électroniques-informatique, de la logistique et du matériel, voient à leur tête l’arrivée de nouveaux responsables.
Enfin, s’agissant de l’état-major de la marine nationale, le président Biya a procédé à la nomination d’un nouveau sous-chef des ressources humaines, d’un nouveau responsable au bureau en charge de la formation et des écoles, d’un sous-chef en charge de la logistique, du budget et du matériel.
Il est à noter que ces nominations dans les forces de défense camerounaises sont publiées quelques heures après le coup d’État survenu mercredi tôt le matin au Gabon qui partage une frontière avec le Cameroun longue de 298 km par la région du Sud.
Interrogé sur ces récents changements, le colonel Serge Cyrielle Atonfack Nguemo, directeur de la division communication au ministère de la Défense, a déclaré que ces nominations étaient sur la table du président Biya depuis plusieurs jours.
