Une nouvelle attaque a motos s’est produite dans l’après-midi du jeudi 12 mars 2020 dans le département d’Ayerou, région de Tillabéry apprend-on de nos confrères d’Actuniger. Selon cette source, le bilan provisoire fait état d’au moins 12 morts dont 10 gardes et 2 gendarmes et plusieurs blessés. C’est le camp de la garde nationale du Niger de Tabareybarey qui a été ciblé par ces individus venus à bord de motos.
Le combat a été violent et les forces de défense se sont vaillamment défendues avec le renfort des éléments de la gendarmerie nationale, apprend-t-on. La force barkhane est aussi intervenue au cours de ce combat qui selon le ministre d’Etat en charge de l’Intérieur et de la sécurité publique, Mohamed Bazoum a mené une action remarquable « Mes condoléances à la Garde nationale ainsi qu’aux familles des hommes tombés sur le champ d’honneur à Ayerou. Prompt rétablissement aux blessés. Félicitations aux FDS du Niger et à la force Barkhane dont la coopération a donné aujourd’hui un résultat prodigieux du côté d’Ayerou. L’action de Barkhane contre les terroristes a été remarquable » se réjouit le ministre d’Etat en charge de l’intérieur et de la sécurité publique qui n’a toujours pas communiqué le bilan officiel de la dite attaque.
Notons que la région de Tillabéry est la zone du Niger, la plus exposée à ces attaques terroristes. Elle a été placée en état d’urgence depuis 2017. Le gouvernement a jugé utile comme autre mesure de lutte contre ces attaques, l’interdiction de la circulation des motos. Malgré cela, il n’est un secret pour personne que ces attaques à bord de motos continuent à faire des victimes dans cette zone frontalière avec le Mali et le Burkina Faso.
