En cinq jours les exposants à la 6e édition du salon de l’agriculture, de l’hydraulique, de l’environnement et de l’élevage (SAHEL-NIGER) ont raflé une somme estimé à plus de 870 millions Fcfa comme chiffre d’affaires selon le ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’élevage, M. Abalde Abouba.
Lancée le 28 février, cette sixième édition a fermé ses portes le 04 mars 2020. C’était un espace d’expositions et de débats propice pour la promotion du secteur rural qui emploie selon le ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Elevage, Abadé Abouba, plus de 80 % de la population active nigérienne et contribue en moyenne à 43 % du produit intérieur brut (PIB) du pays.
D’après le ministre, en cinq jours, les acteurs des chaines de valeur ont enregistré plus de 870 millions de chiffre d’affaires. Ces acteurs ont également réussi à nouer des partenariats avec à la clé une centaine de bons de commandes.
Cette édition de Sahel-Niger a été marquée par un certain nombre de faits notamment l’installation de 420 stands, dont 114 climatisés, neuf pôles d’attractions, la signature de six contrats de performance. Aussi, 9 pays amis ont été représentés par des fortes délégations. Le nombre des exposants enregistrés est de 1500. Et trois concours sectoriels et un concours général ont été organisés, auxquels s’ajoutent les prix traditionnels. Un nombre important de visiteurs, précisément 150 000 ont été enregistrés. Plusieurs personnalités ont visité le salon et des jeunes ont eu droit à des visites guidées, ce qui participe d’une démarche pédagogique. Au total 34 prix ont été décernés pour cette 6ème édition du SAHEL-Niger, dont les prestigieux prix du Président de la République d’un montant de 5 millions de FCFA. Ce qui permettra aux récipiendaires d’investir dans les innovations technologiques en vue d’une plus grande performance et une meilleure rentabilité.
A noter que cette 6ème édition a été clôturée en même temps que la 2ème Édition du Festival International du Mil (FESTIMIL). Deux activités qui promeuvent les acteurs du monde rural à travers notamment l’encouragement de la consommation des produits locaux.
