Le Ministre de la Communication, M. Salissou Habi Mahamadou, a déclaré au Parlement ce samedi 13 juin que le coût de l’acquisition des équipements pour la transition vers la Télévision Terrestre Numérique (TNT) est évalué à environ 28 milliards de francs CFA. Il répondait à une question d’actualité adressée à lui par le député Abdourahamane Oumarou et qui s’est basée sur un éditorial de la Télévision Nationale sur la question.
Selon le Ministre de la Communication, depuis 2015 que la migration vers la TNT a commencée, les dépenses ont coûté quelques 28 milliards F CFA et l’ensemble des instruments ont été déployés dans l’ensemble du pays qui fait 1.267.000Km.
Plus spécifiquement, pour ce qui concerne les équipements de l’Office de Radiodiffusion et Télévision du Niger (ORTN), l’Etat a dépensé près de 3,3 milliards de francs CFA dans le cadre de l’acquisition des équipements pour la retransmission de la Coupe d’Afrique tenue au Niger, ainsi que dans la retransmission en direct des événements du Sommet de l’Union Afrique (UA).
Selon le Ministre Salissou Habi, d’ici la fin de l’année 2020, « nous sommes sûrs et certains qu’on va faire la migration ver la télévision numérique et terrestre ». Pour cela, l’Etat a mis en œuvre un programme d’achat de décodeurs pour près de 2 milliards de F CFA.
