Le président nigérien Mahamadou Issoufou a procédé vendredi à un profond remaniement de son gouvernement suite à la démission d’une quinzaine de ministres candidats aux élections législatives et présidentielles dont le 1er tour est prévu le 27 décembre prochain, a annoncé un communiqué officiel à Niamey.
Il s’agit, entre autres, du directeur de cabinet du Président de la République, M. Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou, des ministres Kalla Ankourao (Affaires étrangères et Coopération), Mahamadou Karidio (Transports), Habi Mahamane Salissou (Communication), Magagi Laouan (Action Humanitaire et Gestion des Catastrophes).
Ont également quitté le gouvernement les ministres des Sports, Moctar Kassoum, des Postes, Sani Maigochi, de l’Equipement, Kadi Abdoulaye, de la Santé, Idi Illiassou Mainassara, de l’Enseignement primaire, Daouda Mamadou Marthé, des Enseignements professionnels et techniques, Tidjani Idrissa Abdoulkadri, de l’Hydraulique, Moctar Gado Sabo, ainsi que Madame Elback Zeinabou Tari Bako, de la Promotion de la Femme et de la Protection de l’Enfant, Almoustapha Garba, de l’Environnement, Amani Abdou, du Développement communautaire, et le ministre d’Etat à la Présidence de la République, Hassoumi Massaoudou.
Leur démission a été auparavant constatée par décret pris vendredi en conseil des ministres, en application de la loi portant code électoral du Niger, qui prévoit que certaines personnalités, dont les membres du gouvernement, « sont inéligibles » à la magistrature suprême du pays et à l’Assemblée nationale « sauf démission de leur part, démission acquise à compter de la publication de la liste des candidats par la Cour Constitutionnelle », intervenue jeudi dernier.
Aux termes de ce décret, les ministres de la Défense Issoufou Katambé, de l’Intérieur et de la Sécurité publique, Alkache Alhada, et du Plan, Mme Aichatou Boulama, gardent leur portefeuille, tandis que d’autres, en plus de leur département, assurent l’intérim d’autres ministères. C’est le cas notamment du ministre du Pétrole, Foumakoye Gado qui se voit attribuer cumulativement les fonctions de directeur de cabinet du Président de la République, du ministre des Finances Mamadou Diop, qui assure également l’intérim de celui de l’Equipement, tandis que Marou Amadou, ministre de la Justice, s’occupera en meme temps du portefeuille des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération, idem pour Sadou Saidou, qui aura la charge des Transports, en plus de son ministère du Commerce.
