Le gouvernement nigérien a annoncé dans un communiqué le lundi 16 novembre 2020, la démission de plusieurs ministres et de hauts fonctionnaires nigériens, candidats à l’élection présidentielle dont le premier tour est prévu le 27 décembre prochain.
Dans le communiqué publié par le gouvernement, il peut être lu que ces différentes démissions ont été authentifiées par un décret pris le lundi 16 novembre 2020 en Conseil des ministres, conformément au code électoral. « Certaines personnalités sont inéligibles à l’élection présidentielle sauf démission de leur part, démission acquise à compter de la publication de la liste des candidats par la cour Constitutionnelle intervenue le 13 novembre dernier » précise le décret.
Les personnalités qui figurent sur cette liste sont principalement « Seini Oumarou, Haut Représentant du président de la république et candidat du Mouvement National pour la Societé du Développement (MNSD-NASSARA), Albabé Abouba, Ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Elevage, candidat du Mouvement Patriotique pour la République (MPR-Jamhuriya), Moussa Hassane Barazé, Ministre des Mines et candidat de l’Alliance nigérienne pour la démocratie et le progrès (ANDP-Zaman Lahiya) et Nassirou Nayoussa, Directeur de la prévention des risques et des catastrophes au Ministère de l’intérieur et de la sécurité publique, investi par le CDPS-Cigaban Kassa ».
Il est à noter, que les 30 candidats éligibles vont commencer la campagne électorale à partir du 5 décembre pour la conquête de la Maison Verte.
