La devanture du ministère de la Renaissance culturelle a servi de cadre le mardi 2 février 2021, à un point de presse de l’Association Nigérienne des Artistes auteurs interprètes et métiers de la musique (ANACIMM). Cette rencontre a porté sur la situation précaire des artistes résultant des différentes mesures prises par les autorités politiques pour limiter la propagation de la maladie. Ce fut aussi l’occasion pour l’ANACIMM de remettre au nom des artistes nigériens de toutes les régions un mémorandum aux autorités.
Le président de l’Association Nigérienne des Artistes auteurs interprètes et métiers de la musique (ANACIMM), plus connu sous le nom de « Phéno », a au cours de son intervention lancé un cri d’alerte afin que le gouvernement mesure le degré de la triste situation des artistes musiciens nigériens. « Je ne parle pas de la maladie en cours dans le monde, la Covid-19, ni de cette terreur dont les nôtres les plus vaillants en sont victimes de manière permanente. Moi je parle aujourd’hui et ici de ces laissés pour compte, de cette couche devenue vulnérable, de ces hommes et femmes qui apprennent en un jour qu’ils devraient cesser de travailler car ils peuvent propager les gênes du virus vorace de cette maladie dénommée Covid-19 », indique Phéno tout en ajoutant que « je parle des artistes musiciens et de tous ceux qui évoluent avec eux. En un mot, les artistes qui ne disposent pas d’autres sources de revenus, végètent dans la précarité et le désœuvrement les plus totales. Les fêtes, les concerts, les festivals ou les lieux de divertissement constituent leur unique source de revenus ».
A cet effet, le président n’hésite pas à proposer un appui financier de l’Etat aux artistes. « Nous sommes conscients que les mesures d’allégement seront graduelles et qu’on ne peut pas autoriser du jour au lendemain les grands rassemblements. Pour réduire l’impact des effets, nous proposons qu’on nous accorde un soutien à partir des budgets dédiés à la culture » dit-il.
