Le Conseil des Ministres s’est réuni, hier jeudi 24 mars 2022, dans la salle habituelle des délibérations, sous la présidence de Mohamed Bazoum, Président de la République, Président du Conseil des ministres. A cette occasion le changement de l’hymne national a été acté. Après examen des points inscrits à l’ordre du jour, le Conseil a entériné l’adoption d’un nouvel hymne national dénommé »l’Honneur de la Patrie ».

Le Conseil des Ministres a adopté le projet de loi modifiant la Constitution.
De la seconde guerre mondiale aux indépendances, le Niger a connu une évolution politique similaire à celle de bien des colonies françaises d’Afrique, caractérisée notamment par l’adoption progressive d’un ensemble d’attributs afférents à un État aspirant légitimement à la souveraineté internationale. Il en a été ainsi de l’hymne national « la Nigérienne ».
Nonobstant toutes les valeurs d’attachement à l’identité nationale et à la paix que “la Nigérienne” promeut, force est de déplorer certaines insuffisances, en particulier le paternalisme.
Pour combler ces lacunes, plusieurs tentatives de relecture de l’hymne national ont été amorcées qui ont abouti à l’adoption d’un nouveau texte et d’une nouvelle mélodie, le tout consacrant ainsi ce qu’il est convenu d’appeler désormais l’Hymne de la République, dénommé “L’honneur de la Patrie”.
Le présent projet de loi sera transmis à l’Assemblée Nationale.
