Il y a de cela six (6) jours déjà que la Commission Electorale Nationale Indépendante (CENI), a ordonné aux différents partis politiques, le retrait des affiches et banderoles politiques qui encombrent les rues. Cet ultimatum semble bien être passé sous silence car, il peut toujours être constaté dans les différentes rues de Niamey, l’affichage de ces supports et matériels de propagande électorale salissants.
En effet, dans un communiqué rendu public depuis le 13 janvier 2021 , la CENI a rappelé aux « partis politique, groupements des partis politiques et candidats indépendants ayant compéti pour les élections locales et générales, qu’en vertu de l’article 94 du code électoral, les affiches, les fanions et autres supports de propagandes électorales doivent être enlevés au plus tard dans les 15 jours suivant la date ses scrutins » et les a invité à « procéder sans délai à leur enlèvement ».
En faisant sourde-oreille face à cette injonction, les militants des différents candidats des partis politiques et même les candidats eux-mêmes, ont non seulement manqué de respect à une institution étatique mais aussi et surtout à l’article 94 de la Constitution qui exige cela.
Pour rappel, les dernières lignes de l’article 94 de la constitution stipule que : « La commission électorale nationale indépendante est chargée de veiller au strict respect de ces dispositions. A cette fin, elle peut requérir les forces de sécurité qui sont tenues de lui apporter toute l’assistance requise ».
