Le front patriotique pour la souveraineté a organisé , ce samedi 09 décembre à la place de la résistance, une marche suivie de meeting pour exiger la lavée des sanctions illégales, inhumaines imposées par la CEDEAO et l’UEMOA au peuple nigérien à la suite du coup d’État du 26 juillet dernier.
La marche est partie de la place Toumo, dans les environs de 9 h, pour se terminer à la place de ‘’résistance ’’ où sont stationnées les troupes françaises.
Sur place, des milliers des manifestants et des scolaires nigériens ont répondu à l’appel de la société civile, hommes et femmes de tous les âges.
Prenant la parole à cette occasion, le gouverneur de la région de Niamey, Assoumane Abdou Harouna a salué la population de la ville de Niamey pour leur courage et détermination depuis la prise du pouvoir par le CNSP avant d’adresser les »sincères et fraternelles salutations de son Excellence le général de brigade Abdourahamane Tiani, président du CNSP, chef de d’État et du gouvernement.
Le gouverneur a accueilli les délégations qui sont venues apporter leur soutien au peuple nigérien notamment le Mali , le Burkina Faso et le Nigeria et les remerciés pour leur accompagnement du CNSP.
Le président du FPS, M. MAIKAL ZODI a rappelé à cette occasion avoir demandé à la population de Niamey de »sortir massivement pour venir à cette date du 9 décembre 2023 qui coïncide à la veille de la tenue de la réunion du reliquat des Chefs d’Etat de la CEDEAO qui vont se pencher sur la situation du Niger. Nous voulons d’abord attirer leur attention en leur disant que c’est avec le Niger qu’a été créée la CEDEAO. C’était le président kountché qui s’est déplacé pour aller faire la CEDEAO, et c’est n’est pas le contraire, la CEDEAO n’a pas créé le Niger ».
»Nous pensons bien que ces sanctions illégales, inhumaines imposées au peuple nigérien ne sont autorisées par aucune réglementation communautaire, ni internationale » a-t-il poursuivi avant d’exiger à la CEDEAO de »lever ses sanctions sans raison, sans conditions imposées à notre cher pays, le Niger ».
Il a aussi averti qu’au cas échéant »nous allons prendre nos décisions de quitter cette institution ».
Le front patriotique pour la souveraineté a demandé au CNSP de »renforcer l’Alliance des Etats du sahel aux côtés de nos frères maliens et Burkinabé qui nous soutiennent dans notre lutte noble ». Notons que cette manifestation s’est déroulée en présence du Ministre de la jeunesse et des sports et de plusieurs représentants du conseil national pour la sauvegarde de la patrie (CNSP).
