A l’initiative de Millenium Challenge Account (MCA)-Niger à travers sa cellule de Communication, un atelier de renforcement de capacités s’est tenue ce lundi 20 juillet à la Maison de la Presse de Niamey. Portant sur le programme Impact, il a rassemblée des hommes et femmes de médias (Télévision, Radio, Presse écrite et Presse en ligne) de la capitale nigérienne et de la Région de Tillabéry.
Dans le cadre de ses activités visant à renforcer son partenariat avec les médias, le MCA-Niger après les localités de Dosso, Konni et Maradi, a fait bénéficier les journalistes de la région de Niamey et de Tillabéry, d’une session de renforcement de capacités sur le programme Compact. C’est le décor planté par le Directeur Général du MCA-Niger, M. Mamane Annou dans son allocution de circonstance indiquant que ses collaborateurs et lui, ont une « haute estime du rôle important que les médias jouent dans la vie de toute nation et spécialement dans l’accompagnement de programme de développement », comme le Compact.
M. Annou a ensuite reprécisé les domaines d’intervention du programme quinquennal (2018-2022) financé à hauteur de 250 milliards de FCFA par le Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) qui a pour ambition de réduire la pauvreté par la croissance économique. Il s’agit notamment de projets dans la promotion de l’irrigation agricole, la réhabilitation de 300 km de routes qui connectent les zones de production et les marchés et les investissements liés à la résilience climatique au profit des communautés rurales. Le DGA du MCA-Niger a, à cet effet invité les hommes et femmes des médias à accompagner sa structure dans les missions d’information et de sensibilisation des populations afin que ces dernières s’approprient les différents projets et en assurent la pérennité.
C’est dans cette optique que les bénéficiaires de l’atelier de ce lundi, ont été édifiés respectivement par M. Rodrigue Bationo, Manager du Foncier à MCA-Niger et Mamadou Saliou Diallo, Manager Réinstallation au MCA-Nigersur les questions foncières et la réinstallation, qui constituent des axes incontournables dans la mise en œuvre des projets. « Toutes les dispositions idoines sont prises afin que ces populations puissent entrer dans leurs droits conformément aux standards internationaux les plus éprouvés en la matière et aux lois en vigueur au Niger », a précisé Mamadou Saliou Diallo.
La cellule communication du MCA-Niger a ensuite pris le relais. D’abord par la voix de son Manager de la Communication Stratégique, Hans Masro, qui a axé son intervention sur les fake news, leurs implications ainsi que les moyens de filtrer les informations et de checker les infox.
