Un avion de transport militaire russe An-124 Ruslan a atterri à l’aéroport international Modibo Keita-Senou ce dimanche 10 novembre 2024, livrant un important chargement destiné aux Forces Armées Maliennes (FAMA).Cette livraison témoigne une fois de plus de l’engagement de la Russie à accompagner le Mali dans sa lutte contre le terrorisme. Elle s’inscrit d’ailleurs dans une dynamique de coopération installée entre les deux pays. En Septembre dernier, la Russie avait déjà apporté son soutien au Mali suite à l’attaque terroriste contre l’école de la Gendarmerie de Faladié à travers l’envoi d’une aide d’urgence.
Ce soutien régulier renforce la coopération militaire entre les deux pays et intervient alors que le Mali fait face à une situation sécuritaire difficile, marquée par la multiplication des attaques jihadistes.
Les équipements russes réceptionnés ce 10 Novembre devraient permettre aux Forces Armées Maliennes d’améliorer leur capacité à mener des opérations.
