Communiqué
(Niamey, 16 Septembre 2022) – L’ONG FAD (Femmes Actions et Développement) NIGER représentée par sa Directrice Exécutive Nationale Nafissatou Idé Sadou participe au sommet sur la Transformation de l’Education du 16 au 19 septembre 2022 à New York aux Etats Unis d’Amérique.
Ce sommet intervient dans un contexte de crise mondiale de l’éducation essentiellement marqué par la perte de la qualité et de la pertinence, le manque d’équité et d’inclusion dans le secteur. Un manque à gagner qui met en danger l’avenir des enfants et constitue un obstacle pour l’atteinte des Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD4) liés à l’éducation. 5 priorités mondiales se dégagent : 1. Développer des écoles inclusives, équitables, sûres et saines, 2. Faire en sorte que tous les élèves acquièrent les connaissances et compétences nécessaires pour promouvoir le développement durable, notamment par l’éducation en faveur du développement et de modes de vie durables, des droits humains, de l’égalité des sexes, de la promotion d’une culture de paix et de non – violence, 3. Accroître considérablement le nombre d’enseignants qualifiés, 4. Rendre accessible à tous l’apprentissage et la transformation numériques, 5. Favoriser le financement de l’éducation.
L’ONF FAD qui participe à ce sommet mondial de l’éducation contribuera à la prise des décisions fortes pour plus d’engagement et de soutien public autour de la transformation de l’éducation ; la prise des engagements nationaux et internationaux pour transformer l’éducation.
Pour l’éducation au Niger, l’ONG FAD profitera de cette tribune pour plaider davantage sur la scolarisation de la jeune fille notamment son maintien à l’école jusqu’à l’âge de 18 ans. Elle plaidera aussi pour la prise de sanctions à l’encontre de ceux qui ne respectent pas cela. Dans le domaine de la santé et l’alimentation scolaire, l’ONG FAD a construit des points d’eau modernes ainsi des toilettes dans des écoles rurales pour assurer une hygiène acceptable aux filles ; a distribué des serviettes hygiéniques réutilisables ainsi que des kits de dignité pour leur bien-être; a mené des campagnes de sensibilisation dans les écoles et ménages sur la santé sexuelle et reproductive ainsi que le droit à l’éducation et à la protection ; a sensibilisé des pairs notamment les jeunes garçons pour réduire les préjugés sur leurs camarades filles lorsqu’elles sont en période de menstrues ; a mis en place des cadres de « hearing » pour contribuer à la protection des filles en milieu scolaire ; etc. « L’absence de toilettes dans des écoles et l’absence des cantines scolaires font quitter des filles et entraine le décrochage scolaire, » regrette Mariama Djibo, Directrice de Programmes de l’ONG FAD.
Dans le domaine de la formation des enseignants, l’ONG FAD tient régulièrement des séances de renforcement de capacités sur la particularité de la jeune fille, les violences basées sur le genre et des textes de loi en faveur de la protection de l’enfant. Elle a aussi mené des
campagnes de sensibilisation pour que les enseignants aient une bonne connaissance du décret officiel pris sur la jeune fille en cours de scolarité.
La Directrice exécutive de l’ONG FAD profitera de cette occasion pour participer à la rencontre mondiale des OSC féministes et des jeunes militantes féministes de l’UNGEI (Initiative des Nations Unies pour l’éducation des filles), le plus grand mouvement féministe pour l’éducation, qui se tiendra en marge dudit sommet les 20 et 21 Septembre 2022. Elle profitera de cette rencontre pour porter la voix de l’ONG FAD pour l’égalité des sexes dans et par l’éducation.
