Le groupe marocain Ymmy Finance Holding (YMMYHOL) a signé samedi un accord avec le Niger portant sur plusieurs projets industriels et d’infrastructures dans la capitale nigérienne, Niamey. L’ensemble du contrat atteint un montant de FCFA 1 824 milliards (€ 2,8 milliards), ont annoncé hier les autorités de la ville et le groupe marocain. C’est le fruit «de deux ans de pourparlers», a indiqué le député-maire central de Niamey, Oumarou Dogari.
« Les projets sont au nombre de six qui seront réalisés sur 8 ans et la majorité relève d’un contrat partenariat-public-privé (PPP) pour un coût de $ 3,3 milliards », a précisé le président de Ymmy, Ahmed Lotfi. « La première phase de 516 millions de dollars est bouclée. »
Les projets portent sur la réalisation d’un complexe agro-alimentaire comprenant une structure d’embouche du bétail, un abattoir et une unité de transformation de la viande, le développement de cultures fourragères ainsi que de filières lait et aviculture.Par ailleurs, il s’agit de la réalisation d’une «smart city» le long des rives du fleuve Niger avec 36 960 logements sociaux et un centre commercial sur 1 050 hectares, la construction d’une zone industrielle destinée à l’export et l’installation de 20 000 lampadaires solaires «made in Maroc».
Enfin, Ahmed Lotfi a indiqué avoir aussi « un projet de construction de 10 000 classes avec une technologie moderne, moins chère, qui vise à éradiquer le problème des classes en paillottes qui présentent des risques graves, notamment d’incendie. »
