Le ministère burkinabè de la Communication, de la Culture, des Arts et du Tourisme a officiellement lancé un appel à candidature pour la création de l’hymne de la Confédération des États du Sahel (AES) le 8 avril 2025 à Ouagadougou. Ce concours, ouvert à tous les artistes, musiciens, choristes et compositeurs burkinabè, vise à doter l’AES d’un hymne fédérateur, reflet de son identité institutionnelle, de ses aspirations et de ses valeurs.
Après avoir adopté son logotype et sa devise le 30 décembre 2024, puis son drapeau le 22 février 2025, la jeune confédération franchit une nouvelle étape symbolique en cherchant un hymne à la hauteur de son ambition. Le ministère invite ainsi les citoyens à proposer une œuvre musicale originale, solennelle et inspirante, qui pourra être interprétée aussi bien lors d’événements officiels et diplomatiques que dans des contextes éducatifs et culturels.
Un hymne porteur de valeurs fortes
Les candidats devront faire ressortir dans leur création les valeurs que l’AES souhaite promouvoir : souveraineté, patriotisme, solidarité, fraternité, loyauté, unité, panafricanisme, travail, bravoure et développement endogène. L’œuvre, d’une durée de 1 min 20 s à 2 min, devra être à la fois moderne et enracinée dans la tradition musicale des pays membres de l’AES.
Le concours est ouvert à toute personne physique, morale ou collectif résidant au Burkina Faso et ressortissant d’un des pays membres de l’AES. Les propositions doivent être entièrement originales, sans recours à l’intelligence artificielle ni à des œuvres antérieures.
Les dossiers de candidature doivent inclure : une partition harmonisée à quatre voix mixtes adultes ; une version chantée (a cappella ou avec accompagnement limité) ; un texte explicatif sur la démarche artistique ; la transcription des paroles dans les langues officielles de l’AES.
La date limite de soumission est fixée au 22 avril 2025 à 16h00. Les propositions doivent être déposées sous pli fermé au Conservatoire National des Arts et des Métiers de la Culture ou envoyées par courriel à secretariat-sg@communication-culture.gov.bf.
La sélection sera assurée par un comité d’experts en musique et représentants institutionnels, selon des critères précis tels que l’originalité, la clarté, la beauté poétique du texte, mais aussi la qualité mélodique, rythmique et harmonique de la composition musicale.
Une seule œuvre sera retenue à l’issue du processus et soumise à l’approbation des trois pays membres de l’AES pour adoption comme hymne officiel de la Confédération.
