L’Assemblée Nationale du Niger a approuvé, ce lundi 8 juin 2020, la première rectification apportée à la loi de finances 2020. Ainsi, le budget général de l’Etat du Niger pour l’année 2020 passe de 2.266,15 milliards à 2.405,53 milliards FCFA, soit une augmentation de 6,15%.
C’est par 118 voix pour et 34 contre que la rectification de la loi de finances 2020 a été adoptée.
Selon le Gouvernement nigérien, cette modification a été opérée pour prendre en compte la gestion de la riposte à la pandémie du coronavirus qui sévit au Niger depuis mars 2020 et qui a engendré des conséquences néfastes sur le plan économique.
Ces conséquences ont, à leur tour, engendré des pertes de recettes et des augmentations de dépenses qui rendent nécessaire une modification des prévisions budgétaires initiales. Les ajustements apportés au titre du présent collectif portent sur certaines mesures fiscales, des annulations et des ouvertures additionnelles de recettes, ainsi que des annulations et des ouvertures de crédits.
Pour le président de la Commission des Finances et du Budget de l’Assemblée Nationale, M. Adamou Namata, cette modification répond à un souci de « solidarité nationale », à un « devoir citoyen » de soutenir le plan de riposte du Gouvernement face à la pandémie du Covid-19, qui vient s’ajouter à d’autres défis liés à des chocs exogènes comme l’insécurité, les aléas climatiques, la volatilité des matières premières.
Rappelons que le plan de riposte élaboré par le gouvernement pour faire face à la pandémie du coronavirus va coûter quelque 1400 milliards de francs CFA.
Selon les dernières statistiques du Ministère de la Santé, le Niger a enregistré 973 cas dont 65 décès, 867 guéris et 41 en cours de traitement.
