L’allusion est faite ici à l’exploition du nouveau gisement de Tafassasset à la frontière avec l’Algérie qui devrait faire passer la production journalière de 20 000 barils à 110 000 barils/ jours et à la construction du pipeline Niger-Benin dont le coût atteint les 2,5 milliards $ (1346 milliards FCFA).
Selon la banque panafricaine, le déficit budgétaire du Niger qui était de 5,8 % du PIB en 2020, va chuter à 3,5% en 2022 principalement « grâce à des recettes fiscales supplémentaires provenant du renforcement de l’activité économique ».
De son côté, le gouvernement ambitionne de porter la croissance annuelle moyenne à 8 % en transformant la structure économique du pays, indique la déclaration de politique générale du nouveau gouvernement.
