Des crimes de guerre ont été commis par les armées du Burkina Faso, du Mali et du Niger dans le cadre de la riposte de ces pays contre le djihadisme. C’est ce que révèle Amnesty International dans un document publié le 10 juin.
Dans son rapport en date du 10 juin dernier, Amnesty International a pointé du doigt les armées burkinabè, malienne, et nigérienne. L’ONG de droit de l’homme dit avoir des preuves de “crimes de guerre” commis par ces trois forces dans le cadre de la lutte qu’elle mène contre le djihadisme.
Le document dont Agenceecofin a reçu copie indique que
« Exécutions extra-judiciaires », « des soldats [qui] sèment la terreur et commettent des tueries dans des villages sous couvert d’opérations antiterroristes ». Au banc des accusés, trois armées du G5 Sahel, Mali, Niger et Burkina Faso, sont mises en cause par l’ONG Amnesty International dans un rapport publié le mercredi 10 juin.
« Entre février et avril, au moins 57 villageois ont été victimes de meurtres et 142 autres ont disparu », selon l’ONG de défense des droits de l’homme qui accuse les forces de sécurité burkinabè, maliennes et nigériennes d’être leurs bourreaux. Les exactions ont visé en majorité les populations peules et touaregs accusées de commerce avec l’ennemi djihadiste.
Dans son rapport, Amnesty International, affirme avoir recueilli les témoignages de 33 villageois et détiendrait des « photos des cadavres des victimes et de l’emplacement présumé de fosses communes (et) des listes de personnes disparues », rapporte l’Agence France Presse (AFP).
