Evalué à plus de 96 millions de francs, la cellule aéroportuaire anti-trafics( CAAT) de l’Office central de répression du trafic illicite de stupéfiants ( OCRTIS ) a saisi une drogue de 1,433kg de Métamphétamine à l’aéroport international Diori Hamani de Niamey.
Cette moisson était dans un panier et un matelas pour enfant en partance pour Australie au nom d’un individu de nationalité étrangère. Plusieurs jours d’investigations ont permis de mettre la main sur l’expéditeur qui est de nationalité nigériane, et est vendeur de pièces détachées automobiles en face du grand marché de Niamey.
Cette saisie démontre une fois de plus que les services postaux et les plateformes aéroportuaires notamment le fret aérien sont utilisés par des trafiquants comme vecteurs de passage de divers produits illicites.
