En partenariat avec le Fonds des Nations Unies pour la Population (UNFPA) et l’association Lumière pour l’Enfance, Coumba GAWLO, des artistes africains lancent « Le cri du silence ». Un single qui plaide en faveur du respect des mesures barrières face à la Covid 19 et pour la lutte contre les violences faites aux femmes et aux filles pendant le coronavirus.
A travers l’initiative #StrongerTogether, ces artistes s’engagent face à la Covid-19, par la sensibilisation sur les gestes barrières et pour la protection des femmes et des filles contre les violences pendant la période du coronavirus.
Coumba GAWLO (Sénégal), Mouna Mint DENDENI (Mauritanie), Mounira MITCHALA (Tchad), Binta TORODO (Niger), Alif NAABA (Burkina Faso), DAPHNE (Cameroun), Fatoumata DIAWARA (Mali), Sidiki DIABATE (Mali), Manamba KANTE (Guinée Conakry), Serge BEYNAUD (Côte d’Ivoire) et Zeynab HABIB (Bénin), participent à cette initiative qui vise à freiner la recrudescence et l’exacerbation d’actes de violences sous diverses formes, dans le contexte de pandémie du coronavirus qui, au-delà de sa dimension sanitaire, a des conséquences multiples, aux plans économique, culturel et social.
C’est dans cette perspective que s’inscrit ce projet qui accompagne la mise en œuvre de la stratégie de communication du Bureau régional pour l’Afrique de l’ouest et du centre du Fonds des Nations Unies pour la Population (UNFPA) à travers le programme SWEED, qui a initié une campagne portant sur le thème « Mon autonomisation, mon avenir. Même en temps de crise ! ».
A travers cette chanson, mise en musique par la diva sénégalaise Coumba GAWLO et réalisée par Guélongal, douze artistes ont ainsi délivré des messages clés, en phase avec le programme Autonomisation des femmes et dividende démographique au Sahel (SWEDD).
# StrongerTogether correspond en effet à des préoccupations quotidiennes dont les artistes se sont appropriées. Parmi celles-ci, les violences faites aux femmes et aux filles.
