Le Palais des Congrès de Niamey créé en 1984 en tant qu’outil de la mise en œuvre de politique culturelle nationale vient d’être absorbé par l’Agence Nationale pour l’Economie de Conférences mise en place en janvier dernier, selon une ordonnance adoptée le vendredi 08 mai dernier en Conseil des Ministres.
Après plusieurs années de mise en œuvre, une réorientation de la mission du Palais des Congrès s’impose, note le gouvernement, estimant qu’il s’avère nécessaire d’abroger l’ordonnance portant création du Palais des Congrès pour permettre la dévolution du patrimoine dudit Palais, à la nouvelle structure, note le communiqué.
L’Agence Nationale pour l’Economie de Conférences (ANEC), créée en janvier 2020, a permis de doter le Niger d’une structure dédiée au développement de l’économie de conférences.
