Les ministres de la Communication du Burkina Faso, du Mali et du Niger ont présenté ce lundi 30 décembre 2024 le nouveau logo de la Confédération des États du Sahel (AES) au général des armés Assimi Goita, président de la confédération. Fruit d’un travail collaboratif entre les trois pays, il symbolise l’unité, la diversité et l’aspiration à un avenir meilleur pour la région.
Ce logo, validé par les trois chefs d’État de la confédération AES, est riche en symboles :
- un soleil rayonnant au centre d’un cercle orange évoque la vitalité de la région,
- un majestueux baobab, enraciné dans la culture, représente la diversité et la force de l’AES.
- les silhouettes humaines qui illustrent la diversité démographique de la région,
- les trois étoiles représentant les trois pays fondateurs.
Par la suite, la Confédération a mis en ligne une WebTV dédiée à la lutte contre la désinformation. Cette plate-forme numérique symbolise l’engagement des trois nations à lutter contre la désinformation et permettra de diffuser des informations fiables et de favoriser le dialogue entre les populations. La mise en ligne de la WebTV et l’organisation de débats télévisés synchronisés marquent le début d’une nouvelle ère pour la communication au sein de l’AES. Le ministre nigérien Sidi Mohamed Raliou a assuré que tout est fin prêt : « Nous disposons déjà de sièges et d’infrastructures au Burkina Faso pour accueillir la télévision et la radio sahéliennes. La WebTV AES est d’ores et déjà opérationnelle. »
Les ministres ont souligné l’importance de cette initiative pour renforcer la cohésion et l’identité de l’AES. Le ministre burkinabé de la communication Pingdwendé Gilbert Ouédraogo a rappelé que ce projet est né d’un appel d’offre lancé dans les trois pays. Le ministre malien Alhamdou Ag Ilyene a quant à lui souligné que les chefs d’État de la confédération AES ont souhaité donner davantage de visibilité à cette alliance : « Ce logo est le premier instrument d’une identité forte et pérenne pour l’Alliance des États du Sahel. »
