Le capitaine Ibrahim Traoré a été nommé président du Burkina Faso.
Après le coup d’état qui a engendré la démission du lieutenant-colonel Damiba vendredi 30 septembre, le capitaine Traoré a officiellement été nommé chef de l’état et des forces armées ce mercredi. L’annonce a été faite aux burkinabés dans un communiqué officiel à la télévision nationale.
« Le président du Mouvement patriotique pour la sauvegarde et la restauration (MPSR) assure les fonctions de chef de l’Etat, chef suprême des forces armées nationales. Il est garant de l’indépendance de la magistrature. En cas d’empêchement du président, ses pouvoirs sont exercés par le premier vice-président et le cas échéant par le deuxième vice-président. » a annoncé le porte-parole du MPSR, le capitaine Kiswendsida Farouk Azaria Sorgho.
