Les ministres de la Culture de la Confédération des États du Sahel (AES) ont signé, ce mardi 4 février 2025, une convention culturelle commune au Centre Culturel Kôrè de Ségou. Cette politique culturelle vise à renforcer l’unité et la résilience des États sahéliens en intégrant la culture comme moteur de paix, de développement et de rayonnement international.
La signature de cette convention s’inscrit dans le cadre de la Semaine de la fraternité de l’AES, qui se déroule du 3 au 9 février 2025.
Madame Soufiane Aghaichata Guichene, ministre de l’Artisanat et du Tourisme du Niger, a appelé à une union pour renforcer la production et la consommation locale des produits de l’artisanat, en réduisant les importations.
Pour le colonel-major Abdourahamane Amadou, ministre de la Jeunesse, de la Culture, des Arts et des Sports du Niger, « En dehors des frontières imaginaires, c’est la culture qui nous unit. Ce n’est pas la peine de singer et d’imiter l’autre. Gardons notre originalité. Valorisons ce que nous avons et avançons ».
Pour Gilbert Pingdwendé Ouédraogo, ministre de la Communication, de la Culture, des Arts et du Tourisme du Burkina Faso, ce type d’instruments permettront une meilleure mutualisation des événements culturels et la valorisation du patrimoine des États membres. « Ces initiatives sont essentielles pour consolider les fondements de l’AES. Ensemble, nous devons mener le combat de l’unité, de la solidarité et de la fraternité », a-t-il déclaré.
Le ministre malien de l’Artisanat, de la Culture, de l’Industrie hôtelière et du Tourisme, Mamou Daffé, a souligné l’importance de la culture et de l’artisanat dans la construction de la confédération. « Aujourd’hui, nous avons touché le sacré. Cette étape va être cruciale dans la construction de notre État confédéral », a-t-il expliqué, avant d’insister sur la richesse culturelle de l’AES, qu’il considère comme une véritable « puissance culturelle mondiale ».
Rappelons que cette cérémonie de signature intervient après les travaux du processus d’élaboration, tenus du 12 au 14 décembre 2024 à Bamako, au Mali, par des experts des trois pays de l’AES.
