Ce projet représente une avancée majeure dans l’intégration régionale mais aussi de la facilité de circulation des ressortissants de la CEDEAO et autres dans l’espace de la confédération.
Cette mesure, à en croire les experts, devrait permettre de stimuler le tourismes, mais également les échanges commerciaux et les investissements dans la région ouest-africaine. Les experts travaillent actuellement à la proposition d’un sticker sécurisé devant figurer sur le visa. Cet élément devrait ensuite être soumis à l’approbation des ministres en charge de la sécurité des trois pays de la confédération.
