L’intersyndicale des travailleurs du Niger (ITN) tire un bilan satisfaisant de la grève du 25 et 26 janvier dernier, et indique que ‘’si le gouvernement ne revient pas sur la table des négociations avec l’ITN, le mouvement sera encore plus large’’.
Cette annonce a été faite lors d’un point de presse animé, ce mardi 31 janvier 2023, par l’intersyndicale afin de faire le bilan de la grève observée par les travailleurs, membres de l’ITN, les 25 et 26 janvier et les perspectives.
Dans son intervention, le président du trimestre de l’ITN, M. Kiemou Yahaya a tout d’abord remercié l’ensemble des travailleurs Nigériens qui ont accepté de respecter le mot d’ordre de l’ITN, chose ayant permis à la réunion de dresser un bilan satisfaisant de la grève.
‘’La grève a réussi parce que le gouvernement l’a senti, mais malheureusement au lieu de prendre des dispositions pour nous amener sur la table des négociations, le gouvernement a choisi de s’inscrire sur la posture de continuer à nous défier ‘’, a-t-il souligné tout en rappelant un des passages du point de presse du ministre porte-parole du gouvernement où ‘’il accuse l’ITN de ne pas être disponible au dialogue et d’aller même loin pour nous amener à la raison‘’.
D’après M. Kiemou Yahaya ‘’ le gouvernement a tout à gagner en prenant des dispositions utiles qui vont nous amener à trouver des solutions par rapport aux préalables, et ensuite engager les négociations sur les autres points inscrits sur le cahier de charge de l’ITN’’.
‘’Si la provocation est ce qu’ils ont choisi, nous estimons que de notre côté nous sommes plus que jamais déterminés à continuer le combat’’, a-t-il prévenu.
Selon les explications du président en exercice de l’ITN, la lutte va au -delà des intérêts des travailleurs, ‘’elle a une dimension beaucoup plus nationale par ce que la cherté de la vie est une question qui engage l’ensemble des citoyens nigériens et c’est aussi une question pour laquelle nous allons continuer le combat’’, a-t-rassuré.
M. Kiemou Yahaya a, enfin, appelé l’ensemble des structures de à se mobiliser davantage, et d’être à l’écoute des éventuels mots d’ordre qui vont être surement lancés par l’ITN.
Quant au secrétaire général de la Confédération Nigérienne de travail (CNT), M. Moukaila Halidou de préciser qu’il ne s’agit pas, à travers cette sortie médiatique, de faire la réplique par rapport au point de presse du gouvernement à travers les différentes sorties notamment du ministre de travail et le ministre porte-parole du gouvernement, mais qu’il est question de faire le point de 48 heures de grève que ITN a observée le 25 et 26 janvier passés.
D’après les propos de M. Mounkaila Halidou, toutes les dispositions ont été prises par le gouvernement pour amener en échec le mouvement de l’ITN, mais malheureusement pour eux, c’était sans tenir compte de la détermination des militantes et des militants qui animent les différentes centrales syndicales membres de l’ITN.
‘’La grève a été observée, la grève a très bien réussi à Niamey, à l’intérieur du pays, et y compris dans les services stratégiques où ils ne s’attendaient pas, notamment à Agadem, Soraz et RTN’’, a-t-il révélé.
M. Mounkaila Halidou de faire savoir qu’à travers la grève de l’ITN, le gouvernement a senti qu’il y a une force aujourd’hui avec laquelle il faut tenir compte dorénavant.
Pour rappel, cette grève de l’ITN est due au non-respect par le gouvernement d’un certain nombre d’engagements qu’il a pris avec les organisations syndicales depuis 2012.
L’ITN regroupe l’Union des syndicats des travailleurs du Niger (USTN), la Confédération nigérienne de travail (CNT), la Confédération générale des syndicats libres (CGSL) et l’Union syndicale et progressiste des travailleurs (USPT), note -t-on.
