Alassane Ouattara a établi ce jeudi 5 mars son bilan devant les représentants de la Nation, députés et Sénateurs réunis à Yamoussoukro, à la fondation Félix Houphouët-Boigny pour la recherche de la paix et a annoncé une modification constitutionnelle portant sur « le statut du Vice-président, le pouvoir législatif et le pouvoir judiciaire ».
Devant l’ensemble des corps constitués de la Nation, Alassane Ouattara a égrené son bilan et annoncé son retrait de la course à la présidence le 31 octobre prochain. Mais l’information qui est parvenue au public est celle qu’il a faite dans un tweet. « Je voudrais annoncer solennellement, que j’ai décidé de ne pas être candidat à l’élection présidentielle du 31 octobre 2020 et de transférer le pouvoir à une jeune génération », a écrit le président ivoirien sur son compte twitter
« Notre pays est sur les rails de l’émergence, rayonne et assume son leadership dans la sous-région » a réitéré Alassane Ouattara.
